Filing Deadlines Extended To July 15

As in years past, local EIT filing deadlines always aligned with the Federal and State filing deadlines. Accordingly, the new due date for 2019 Final Returns and 1st Quarter 2020 estimate payments is July 15, 2020.

During this challenging time, our country, our families and our businesses are facing the challenges of COVID-19. We at Keystone first and foremost wish you and yours health and safety. Our thoughts are with those afflicted with the virus and the health professionals caring for them.

The PA Department of Revenue and the IRS announced that income tax filing deadlines for both the final return (2019) and the 1st Quarter (2020) are extended to July 15, 2020. For local EIT purposes, Pennsylvania accordingly extended these Individual filing deadlines to match the State and Federal date of July 15, per Act 10. Keystone will not apply penalty and interest on Tax Year 2019 Final Return payments nor 1st Quarter 2020 estimates made between April 15, 2020 and July 15, 2020. Penalty and interest that accrued prior to April 15, 2020 remains due. The employer filing deadlines for reporting payroll withholding were not changed. To file and pay online, please go to e-file.
