Application Support Developer

Job Summary:

As an Application Support Developer you will maintain and test proprietary software applications. In addition, the Support Developer must be able to manage time and milestones effectively, be self-motivated, have strong problem-solving skills, great interpersonal skills, the desire to work within a team environment, and possess the ability to take projects from inception to completion.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot issues reported by users
  • Implements bug fixes and enhancements
  • Coordinates user testing
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently
  • Takes responsibility for his/her work including non-technical aspects
  • Works closely with peers in Infrastructure, QA, Web Development, and other engineers in evolving development strategy and methodology
  • Practices best coding standards
  • Ensures documentation produced is usable and accessible

Job Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • College graduate with technology degree; 3 to 5 years of programming experience a plus
  • Proficiency in developing with VB or Microsoft Access (GUI) development
  • Proficiency with SQL or T-SQL preferred, but not required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with end users and teammates
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in applications and data
  • Research and implement resolutions to issues or enhancements to applications
