Associate Quality Assurance Engineer

Associate Quality Assurance Engineer works as part of a team to ensure the quality of Keystone’s software applications and solutions. This person spends their time doing hands-on testing under the guidance and direction of more senior QA Engineers. The Associate Quality Assurance Engineer actively works to learn and develop new technical skills via independent learning, on-the-job training, and direct coaching from others.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated and manual test cases under the guidance of more senior staff.
  • Adhere to the software quality processes and standards.
  • Work on cross-functional project teams participating in planning and review meetings.
  • Take responsibility for timely completion of testing tasks identifying problems when encountered.
  • Seek constant improvement of yourself, our process and our teams.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: Less than 2 years of professional experience working in a software development or testing role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience developing and/or testing web applications or internal business applications using technologies like C#, Java, JavaScript or Python.
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with quality and testing practices like unit-testing, continuous integration and automate testing.
  • Thirst to learn and grow skills with willingness to be actively mentored by peers.
  • Collaborative working style that values team success over individual success.
  • Quality mindset wanting to do the job right the first time.
